Conditions of Entry - Cricket/Rugby

Events at McLean Park stadium are governed by the following standards. These are enforced to ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of spectators and players.

Stadium hirers may impose additional conditions for individual events. Please check the terms and conditions when you purchase your ticket.

Please note: Conditions of Entry may vary depending on the event. Please ensure you check the event page for any event specific conditions.

What can I bring to the stadium?

  • Sealed unopened plastic bottles (up to 1.5 litres) containing non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Small amounts of homemade food for personal consumption.
  • Thermos flasks with hot beverages.
  • Cameras and video recorders for non-commercial purposes.
  • Radios may only be used with headphones or earpieces.

Stands

  • One soft-sided bag only per person is allowed in seated areas. This bag must fit under your seat.

Grassed areas only

  • Chilly bins, picnic baskets, prams, pushchairs.
  • Low beach-type chairs no higher than 300mm from the ground or wider than 600mm. No standard size chairs that may restrict viewing for other seated spectators.

What am I not allowed to bring into the stadium?

All spectators and their possessions may be subject to searching before entering the stadium. Searches may also be carried out during an event or when leaving the stadium. Prohibited items will be confiscated. These include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Alcohol
  • Illicit drugs
  • Glassware and cans
  • Unsealed bottles and containers
  • Hi Vis clothing of any description
  • Sound amplifiers - including loud hailers
  • Animals, with the exception of seeing eye dogs
  • Flares, fireworks, laser pointers - except in the case of approved licensed operators
  • Knives, firearms and other items that could be used as dangerous weapons
  • Skateboards, roller blades, scooters and bicycles
  • Obscene, offensive or abusive signs or banners.

Stadium Entry

Spectators may be refused entry or evicted if they:

  • Have no valid entry ticket or accreditation pass
  • Appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs
  • Fail to comply with staff or security requests, including searches
  • Are in possession of prohibited items
  • Are verbally or physically abusive or behave in an offensive manner
  • Throw any missile
  • Have been previously evicted from the event or have been served with a trespass notice
  • Enter or attempt to enter inside the playing boundary fence before, during or after the event
  • Sit or stand in aisles or block emergency doors or emergency exits
  • Enter areas without appropriate accreditation, such as player, media, sponsor and operational zones.

Failure to comply with any of the above may result in eviction from the venue and/or arrest and/or the issuing of a trespass notice.

No Smoking

  • McLean Park is a smoke free venue and this includes vaping. This venue incorporates the car parks and walkways. Patrons wishing to smoke or vape must obtain a pass out and make their way to the footpath outside the venue perimeter.

General

  • For the safety and security of patrons, surveillance cameras are in use throughout the park.
  • Patrons must not sit or stand in aisles, block entry doors or emergency exits.
  • Umbrellas may not be raised in the grandstands.
  • Patrons with umbrellas on the embankment may be asked to drop them if obstructing the view of others.
